Sarah Parrott graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Creation & Enterprise, whilst also working for the university as the Business Schools Senior Secretary, a post which she still holds today, in conjunction with her business, Moments Wedding & Event Planners.

Moments has been up and running for a year now, having started up in August 2008, and is a wedding and events coordination business. It specialises in full and partial wedding and event planning services, which includes venue sourcing, on the day coordination and wedding planning packs, to name a few.

Since start up, the company has grown significantly, boasting a full and professional portfolio, including over 30 full and partially coordinated weddings and events, and received reviews in prestigious wedding magazines and supplements. Sarah has appeared on BBC Radio Leeds, giving advice to listeners planning weddings on a budget, and exhibits twice a year at the renowned Scottish Wedding Show in Glasgow.

Whilst conducting her market research, Sarah saw that there was a gap in the market for personal and affordable wedding planning. With her research in hand, she has decided to launch Moments’ very own Wedding Planning Pack, which is a comprehensive step by step guide, packed full of useful information, hints, tips and materials for couples to successfully plan their own wedding. The product has taken account of price, due to it retailing at £29.99.

In November 2007, Sarah was awarded a sum of money from the Business Start-Up Proof of Concept fund to test the feasibility of her idea. The funding predominantly helped with her marketing costs, and proved to be very helpful. Sarah said;
