The Start-up Kit: Business Concept Competition

Your idea could be worth £2000!

The annual Leeds Met Business Concept Competition gives students and graduates the chance to win £2000 prize money to help develop their business idea.

Winners will also have the opportunity to represent Leeds Met at the Regional Enterprise Awards where they will compete against start-ups from other Yorkshire Universities to claim up to £5000 in prizes.

Entrants will complete a written application form (no more than 1500 words). Finalists will then be short-listed and asked to present their idea to a panel of judges.

 

Who can enter ?

  • Any current students or recent graduates of Leeds Met. (graduated within the last 5 years)

  • Individuals or groups

  • Your group can include people who are not students or graduates or those from other universities

  • You must be pre-trading or have been trading for less than 12 months on 10th February 2010.

 

If you need some help with completing your application you can make an appointment to see our Business Advisor or attend our business planning workshop.
We would advise anyone applying to try and take advantage of this opportunity to get your entry in the best shape possible but please bear in mind that we have a high demand for appointments in the weeks before the competition deadline.
Book early to avoid disappointment.
