Membership
We have now got 60 plus members at Leeds Met and hope to recruit a lot more to the branch in the coming year.
Membership is a valuable addition to your CV – it enhances the professional outlook you have to your career in HE. More and more employers are asking for both membership and about the PG Certificate as part of the interview for jobs.

You get the opportunity to network with colleagues internal and in the wider world of higher education.
There are many professional development opportunities through the Association, local, regional, nationally and even internationally. AUA often offers members early bird and membership reductions in costs to these opportunities.
AUA also keeps member informed of developments and branch news with the 'Newslink' magazine. The 'Perspectives' journal offers professional, refereed articles on all aspects of Higher Education.
There are email forums for specialist interest groups in Higher Education.
Run by members for members, AUA can be an opportunity for you to have your voice heard.
