Key Experience

John Seacome BA(Hons) DipTP MSc MRTPI has extensive experience within the public and private sectors of Town Planning in the areas of local planning, implementation and development control. He previously worked for 10 years as Senior Planner in the National Planning Team of an international law firm, preparing briefing notes for a number of successful scheme bids for local authority work and editing the national planning bulletin. Before that he had spent over three years as a Planning Inspector, and 20 years in local government in a large metropolitan district.

John has been in charge of the Joint Distance Learning Course Development Control Block for 10 years and is actively involved with the local community sector through work in Planning Aid. He also has an interest in environmental affairs through his Master’s Dissertation on Opencast Mining and Nature Conservation.

 

John Seacome
