Teaching interests
Harvey has a particular interest in teaching the practice of planning, in particular development control and management, drawing on his many years in the local government sector and subsequently as a planning consultant in the private sector. In addition, as a senior Planning Aid volunteer, he has considerable knowledge in the role of the community in the planning system, their rights and the problems associated with this. As well, his role at the JDLC as module leader on the Spatial Plan Making course, has given him an overview of the strategic and policy aspects of plan making in the UK.
