News & Seminars
CUDEM organises and is involved in a number of annual and one-off events. We run an annual CUDEM Research Seminar Series which offers the opportunity for internal and invited external speakers to present and discuss their current research work and interests. Alongside this we organise three events a year for the Royal Town Planning Institute's Yorkshire Conference Series CPD Programme. Our events for 2011 are: Emerging Contexts for Heritage and Conservation (February), Securing Sustainable Development Through Planning (June) and What is Local Distinctiveness? (September).
CUDEM hosted an event at the Rose Bowl in partnership with Bradford MBDC on Friday 8 April 2011. Copies of the speakers presentations may be found here:
Joe Ravetz - The rural-urban city-region
Pam Warhurst - The importance of the "green bits"
Sally Hinton - Progress so far
M Mcgloughlin - Engaging and empowering the UF community
John Shutt - Employment and Regionalised Development
Chris Marshall - Green infrastructure in the city region
This event, held on Wednesday 23 February 2011 was part of the RTPI Yorkshire Conference Series. Presentations from the event are available to download.
