Our research includes the following areas: Cultural & Gender History; Social & Cultural Theory; Women's Writing; Twentieth-century Literature; Media Studies.

Research topics can be selected by the student and adapted as appropriate in conjunction with relevant staff. In our current community of research students, topics being studied include the Lyrics of Lennon & McCartney; Jamaican Folk Tales; and Music & Art in Early Twentieth-Century Leeds.
