BA (Hons) English & HistoryBA English & History is a genuinely interdisciplinary degree offering students the opportunity to explore the extent to which the two disciplines inter-relate, consolidate and even contest one another. Students will study a selection of modules drawn from both subject areas (on Romanticism, American history, Shakespeare and environmental history, for example) as well as core modules designed specifically to emphasise the conceptual relationship between English and History. The degree is well supported in this by the strong interdisciplinary focus of the School of Cultural Studies and by the extensive teaching experience and research expertise of the English and History teams.
