Background
My 10 years and more of work experience begun in 1988 working for a medium sized developer as an assistant site manager, then site manager before quickly rising to Project (Development) Manager for Wenric Development Company. During this period I gained experience of completing both Civil Engineering and Building projects in Africa, and the UK, leading to my post graduate study and research with the University of Bolton. While with University of Bolton, I successfully elicited research funding from the Single Regeneration Budget for my PhD. This led to collaborative work on community-led housing initiatives with three social landlords: Manchester City, Bury, & Bolton councils.
I am currently co-supervising a PhD student at University of Bolton and also working on a CKE funded project. The CKE project is looking into ways of fostering collaborative networks in building refurbishment between industry practitioners and Leeds Met.

Effect of macro-physical housing regeneration programmes on housing quality
Skill training, impact of knowledge of building form on project management of refurbishment projects.
Dynamics of perceived – antithetical - variables to successful management of building refurbishment projects.
I also have a growing interest in the use of agrowaste products as building materials from developing nations.
