  STAMFORD BROOK RETROSPECTIVE
Stamford Brook: Energy Performance Project

Introduction

The Stamford Brook Energy Performance Project will explore the extent to which a restricted data set, focussing on energy consumption and other key measurements, is able to both provide data on the scale of consumption and also explain the essential characteristics of the consumption pattern and its determinants.

Following the initial Stamford Brook Field Trial, which concentrated on the construction processes during development, the energy performance project addresses energy use within the occupied dwellings.
Projected energy use of housing based on the design specification is often lower than that achieved in the completed homes. This is attributed to a number of different factors which can often be difficult to characterise. This project will measure energy consumption across the development over twelve months. A number of dwellings will also have indoor environmental quality indicators monitored.
