Biography
Sarah graduated from the Architectural Association, London in 1995, supported by an AA scholarship and completed her professional qualifications at The Bartlett, University College London. She worked as a project architect at several practices in London, including Saucherbruch Hutton Architects and YRM Ltd, before moving to Yorkshire in 2005.
Sarah taught BA Y3 studio at Sheffield University and worked at Bauman Lyons Architects prior to joining Leeds Metropolitan University in 2008 as an associate senior lecturer. An active connection with architectural practice is maintained through involvement with small built works, design competitions and as a panel member of the Yorkshire Design Review Service. Sarah's teaching and research interests focus on the poetics of the ordinary through the observation of the everyday and the future of the English seaside town.
