Biography

Andrew's undergraduate study was in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, where he experimented with printmaking, time-lapse photography, film projection, installation and sculptural forms. This lead on to numerous exhibitions throughout the British Isles. Postgraduate study in Interactive Multimedia Production developed his growing interest in designing interactive interfaces, moving image and animation projects, all distinctly centered around digital tools, media and processes.

Having worked at the University for 14 years across a variety of Art and Design courses, Andrew is now course leader for the BA (Hons) Design course and its associated pathway awards. In conjunction with this he also lectures at the Northern Film School where he has recently co-authored a new course in animation and is now jointly leading this provision. Through application of his broad skill base in the education environment he is interested in creating connections between disciplines in these
creative subjects.
