On Your Wall - Call for Submissions

After three successful selling weekends, Leeds Met Gallery is planning to run On Your Wall again on 11-14 March in Leeds Shopping Plaza, off Albion Street.

What is it about?
This is fantastic opportunity for both developed and emerging artists to get their work seen in a City Centre shop and create a portfolio of sales. On Your Wall will be held on the ground floor of the Plaza right next door to Head's (previously Virgin Megastore) basement level. This event will promote the work of regionally based artists and further stimulate the collecting culture within Leeds.

What are we looking for?
Contemporary visual art reflecting new practice, new ideas and excellence in execution that is primarily wall based. Limited edition photographs and prints will be welcomed. The maximum selling price for works should be in the region of £1000 and it is worth noting that in both previous shows most of the sales were in the low the hundreds price bracket. The gallery will deduct 40% commission from the selling price
Additionally, we intend to include a space to display artists' multiples and artefacts.

Are you interested?
If so please send images of the work you would like to propose - listing media, dimensions and selling price along with a short statement about your practice plus a brief CV (please include a contact phone number) to the address below. Please do not send links to websites. We are happy to except images on disk and small image files via email as large files may clog our system. The extende deadline for submission is now Friday 5 February and all applications will be acknowledged.
