Teacher Fellows
The Teacher Fellow Network brings together individuals from across the University who have been identified for their excellent practice in assessment, learning and teaching (ALT).
They have a variety of responsibilities, which include:
- leading the implementation of the ALT Strategy and Priorities
- contributing to policy development on ALT issues
- identifying innovative and excellent ALT practice within and beyond the University
- disseminating good practice and supporting ALT development within their Faculty
- acting as advocates for innovation and positive change
- collaborating in supporting cross-University events and projects.
Their activities include participation in ALT and Scheme, Course, Award, Programme and Level (SCAPL) conferences and the ALT-resource project.
The Network meets regularly and includes University Teacher Fellows and Teacher Fellows with particular responsibilities for enterprise (Enterprise Fellows) and internationalisation (International Teacher Fellows). UK National Teaching Fellows at Leeds Met are also active members.

Become a Teacher Fellow
Being a Teacher Fellow is fun and a good career move. Their roles vary, but commonly include:
- making a continuing contribution to assessment, learning and teaching
- mentoring
- helping to shape Faculty and University agendas in assessment, learning and teaching
- contributing to development of improved assessment, learning and teaching processes in Schools
- development of learning materials
- spreading of good practice in assessment, learning, teaching
- educational innovation
- participation in peer observation.
