Welcome to the Centre for Learning and Teaching web pages. The student experience is at the centre of all our activities. We aim to help you to enhance our students' experience by:
- providing opportunities for professional development through workshops, events, networking, publications and projects
- supporting you with information and resources to assist the refocusing of the undergraduate curriculum
- helping you use technology appropriately in your teaching
- giving you access to the research and resources of a wide range of projects (including resources from the University's former Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching)
- maintaining ALT resource, a wiki enabling the sharing of resources, information, advice and guidance on innovative and excellent practice within and beyond the University
- providing cross-University support for graduate employability and helping to integrate employability in the curriculum
- helping you develop enterprising projects for students in your curricula
- sharing the expertise of the University's Teacher Fellows, who act as advocates for excellent teaching.

National Teaching Fellowship Scheme 2012 - Call for Nominations
I am pleased to let you know that the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) Individual Awards 2012 call for nominations opened on the 4th January.
If you are aware of any colleagues who may be interested the NTFS 2012, full information is available from the HEA website and the deadline for the submission of nomination documents is 12 noon on Wednesday 21 March 2012.
You may also be interested in seeing the 2011 Report which provides an overview of the scheme and its implementation, characteristics of successful applications and a profile of the 2011 winners.
The Centre for Learning and Teaching and Faculties will be running a series of staff development days to work on the forthcoming refocus of the undergraduate curriculum.
The latest issue of the Assessment, Learning and Teaching Journal focuses on Internationalisation. Guest edited by David Killick, it contains a wide variety of papers and case studies by authors at our University and from overseas.
Insights and Dialogues: supporting you through change and curriculum refocus
The Faculty of Business & Law is running a staff development fortnight on supporting staff through change and curriculum refocus from 6-15 June. Workshops are open to all staff and are bookable via iTrent.
