Choosing Your Hall
When choosing which hall is right for you it is important that you review each hall carefully and consider all the facts:
Which campus will you be studying at?
Take a close look at where each hall is situated in relation to where you will be studying and think about how long you want to spend travelling to and from University. We recommend the following halls as suitable for our two campuses:
City Campus
Carlton Hill
Carnegie Village Town House
1 Mill Street
Opal One & Two
Sugarwell Court
Woodhouse
Headingley Campus
Carlton Hill
Carnegie Village Town House or Cluster Flat
Kirkstall Brewery

Opal One & Two
Royal Park Flats
Woodhouse
How much can you afford to spend on accommodation?
There is a broad range of rents to suit all budgets. Standard single rooms with shared bathroom facilities are our most economical option but if you really can't bear the thought of sharing your bathroom then en-suite is for you. Click here for an overview of our rents.
How do you feel about living in a large community?
We offer a range of sharing options in a variety of sizes of halls. You should consider whether you will be happier in large groups or if you would prefer to be in a smaller flat and hall where you can get to make friends more easily.
Sharing preferences
When you fill in the Online Application to choose your hall you will be asked a series of life style questions about the type of people you would you like to share with - please consider the following when answering these questions.
Single or mixed sex flats?
If living with all females or all males is important please ensure you click on the correct box.
Are you the life and soul or do you need an early start?
Please consider whether you want to live in a lively environment all of time. Choosing the quieter option might be better if your course has lots of 9.00 am starts, involves going out on a placement or you are an athlete and need to get up early to go to work or go training.
Can I share with a friend?
If you have a friend that is also coming to the University and you would like to share the same flat please put their name and student ID in this box. (We strongly encourage that you choose only to share with one other person in order to settle more comfortably into University life)
